The Blue Partridge Brahma Rooster is a mixture of glistening black, gold, and red colors. It is created through a breeding project involving three different colors, one of which is Blue Brahma chicken colors. During various breeding combinations, the black feathers acquire a weaker gene known as ‘Andalusian blue,’ transforming into a bluish-grey tone, resulting in a more glamorous color combination and as a result, it produces Blue Partridge Brahma Rooster and Hen.
In this project, birds took years to create and generate new genes in Brahmas. They are large and mature late, so producing such a beautiful bird took time.

They are raised on the farm as a dual-purpose breed. It produces many eggs even in winter when other breeds stop laying eggs due to cold weather. Their heavy and dense feathers allow them to keep warm in winter and lay many eggs.

Blue Partridge Brahma Rooster
Their Rooster is very similar to the Gold Partridge Rooster. The main difference is the black shade of the gold partridge brahma rooster diluted and weakened and changed into a greyish Blue shade in the Blue Partridge Rooster shade.
Roosters have Gold shade lacing on blue feathers on their hackles and saddles. The tail is a pure blue shade. Roosters have broader chests with a blue shade. V-shaped standing posture looks awesome and gives them a distinct look from other breeds.

The key difference is the lacing of the gold partridge female is 2 to 3 finely black pencil marking lacing feather patterns, and in the blue partridge female, it is greyish blue. Blue Partridge Brahma Chicks
Their chicks are big as compared to other smaller breeds. If you are new to keeping chickens, select pullets and cockerels. Blue Partridge Brahma Needs
They are cold, hardy chickens but can also easily survive in hot temperatures with extra care so that you can add them to your backyard. They need big coops because of their size, and they can stretch their wings and move freely in their cage. To achieve good quality breeders by providing them with a hygienic environment and quality feeds and greens. Giving them good pens can decrease stress levels and help them lay many eggs.
They have a friendly nature and are not skirty, so introducing them to your existing flock is relatively easy. They are good mothers. Their females commonly go broody and are go in raising chicks. Females weigh around 8 lbs, and due to their big size, they can underlay a good number of eggs.

Blue Partridge Brahma Chicken History
Brahma chickens, a cross of Malay and Cochin, were bred in the 1800’s, and as a result, we got Shangai Chicken in China. Later on, it shipped to the United States of America and European Countries named Brahma Chicken.
The first Buff Columbian Brahma was in 1950 after the buff color gold and blue partridge color was created very late 1960 1970 in Germany.
